SecureBox SDS2101 securely network-enables serial devices with 128-256 bit AES-certified encryption over a 10/100 Ethernet interface. This SD2101002-11 SKU is the two-port 10/100 secure device server with a universal power supply and regional adapters. Each of its 2 DB9M DTE serial ports is software-selectable for RS232, RS422 or RS485, with 2 and 4 wire support and data rates from 300 to 921 KBaud. The network interface uses RJ45 and supports software selectable Ethernet speed 10/100/Auto and software selectable Half/Full/Auto duplex. SecureBox uses serial tunneling to encrypt and encapsulate serial data into packets for transport over Ethernet. Configuration and management options include Lantronix DeviceInstaller GUI, Serial login, SNMP, Telnet login, and HTTP; the web interface can be disabled for added security. It can work with Secure Com Port Redirector (SCPR) software to extend COM port-based Windows applications across Ethernet, creating encrypted virtual COM port connections to a remote SecureBox over the network or the Internet.

Ideal For

  • Secure data communications for commercial applications where secure data communications are essential
  • Secure data communications for medical facilities, government agencies and financial institutions
  • Secure virtual serial connections extended across a facility or around the world using two device servers
  • COM port-based Windows applications extended across Ethernet with Secure Com Port Redirector software
