The Lantronix ION C3100-4040 is a fiber to fiber media converter module for SFP to SFP links. It is protocol independent and supports data rates from 100Mbps to 2.5Gbps through two open SFP slots. The module performs any-rate to same-rate conversion. It can be used for single mode to multimode fiber conversion or for wavelength conversion in CWDM applications. The C3100-4040 is manageable when installed in a managed ION chassis and is powered by 12VDC from the ION chassis backplane.
