The Lantronix G528GP2FSG is the TAA-compliant global variant of the G528, the 5G model in the Security line of the Lantronix G520 Series. It is built for public-sector, surveillance and Industry 4.0 projects that need 5G performance and supply-chain compliance on the same order. The gateway combines 5G sub-6 GHz with a Microchip ATECC608 secure element, Lantronix InfiniShield security and PSE-PoE+ Ethernet. The cellular radio supports 5G Release 15 sub-6 bands n1, n2, n3, n5, n7, n8, n12, n20, n28, n38, n41, n66, n71, n78 and n79. For LTE it supports Cat 20 downlink and Cat 13 uplink on B1, B2, B3, B4, B5, B7, B8, B12, B13, B14, B17, B18, B19, B20, B25, B26, B28, B29, B30, B32, B34, B38, B40, B41, B42, B46, B48, B66 and B71, with 3G fallback. Two mechanically secured mini-SIM holders provide dual SIM, and Ethernet, cellular and Wi-Fi can be set for failover or load balancing. The two 10/100 Ethernet ports deliver PSE-PoE+ at up to 30 W per LAN port for cameras and sensors. Local and field connections include: • 2T2R Wi-Fi 5 (client or access point for about 12 users) and Bluetooth/BLE 5.1 • GPS on a dedicated SMA connector • RS-232 and RS-485 serial and a USB host port • Configurable analog, 4-20 mA or digital-output I/Os, ignition sensing and CAN bus Industrial protocols include Modbus master, DNP3 outstation, IEC 101/104, EtherCAT and DLMS client. The brushed aluminum housing operates from -30 °C to +70 °C on 10.8-60 V DC, and Last Gasp provides about 100 seconds of runtime after power loss. Security features include IPsec (up to 4 channels), OpenVPN, WireGuard, a zone-based firewall and SIM PIN. Fleets can be managed through Percepxion, TR-069 or the web interface and extended with the G520 SDK. Lantronix provides a product brief, user guide and quick start guide.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the G528GP2FSG TAA compliant?▾

Yes. Lantronix lists the G528GP2FSG as TAA compliant, which makes it suitable for procurement that requires TAA-compliant hardware.

What cellular technologies does it support?▾

It supports 5G Release 15 sub-6 GHz on bands n1, n2, n3, n5, n7, n8, n12, n20, n28, n38, n41, n66, n71, n78 and n79. It also supports LTE Cat 20 downlink / Cat 13 uplink across a worldwide band set, plus 3G fallback.

How much power can it deliver to PoE devices?▾

The Ethernet ports provide PSE-PoE+ at up to 30 W per LAN port, provided the gateway is fed from a power supply with enough capacity.

What is not included for the RS-485 and I/O connections?▾

The RS-485 5-pin COMBICON header is sold separately, and plugs for the 3-pin I/O COMBICON header are not provided. A microSD card for external storage is also not provided.

How does it maintain connectivity during outages?▾
