Lantronix TN-USB-FX-01(LC) is a TN-USB Series Scorpion-USB 2.0 to Fast Ethernet fiber adapter for 100Base-FX networks. This SKU provides a multimode LC fiber connection with 2km reach and 11.0dB link budget. The adapter connects through a USB 2.0 type-A interface and is powered by the USB bus, so no external power supply is needed. Lantronix lists Fast Ethernet fiber connection through a USB interface as more secure than copper or wireless transmission. Status LEDs show USB Speed / Activity and fiber Link / Activity. The plastic ABS enclosure includes a 6” pigtail to a USB type-A connector.
