About the Lantronix SM48TAT4XA-RP

The SM48TAT4XA-RP (also searched as SM48TAT4XA) concentrates a large PoE+ access layer into one rack unit: 48 10/100/1000Base-T ports supporting IEEE 802.3at and 802.3af, plus four dual-speed 1G/10G SFP+ slots for 10 Gbps uplinks. A 176 Gbps backplane and 32K MAC table handle the traffic of dense camera, access point and VoIP deployments.

The switch ships with one AC power supply giving an 820 W PoE budget, enough for 30 W on 27 ports or 15.4 W on all 48. Adding the PS-AC-920 secondary supply raises the budget to 1640 W, delivering 30 W on all 48 ports at once, and the two hot-swappable supplies can run in redundant or burst mode. Auto Power Reset, Always on PoE and LLDP-MED keep powered devices manageable.

Management runs through web, CLI, Telnet and SNMP v1/v2c/v3, with RADIUS 802.1X, TACACS+, 512-entry ACLs, IPv4/IPv6 static routing, IEEE 1588v2 PTP transparent clock, G.8031/G.8032 protection, LACP with up to 26 groups and IGMP and MLD snooping. The Device Management System provides topology, floor and map views, and the switch integrates with Milestone XProtect.
