Overview

About the Lantronix SISPM1040-300 Series

The SISPM1040-300 Series (SISPM1040-384 and SISPM1040-362) connects and powers edge devices where commercial switches fail: outdoor enclosures, traffic cabinets and plant floors with no airflow. Each PoE+ port supplies up to 30W, and the switches can deliver it on all PoE ports simultaneously, so a full load of PTZ cameras or wireless radios does not need a power budget calculation. A two-model family covers a 12-port and an 8-port build, both fanless and rated IP30.

Ring protection includes ITU-T G.8032 ERPS, G.8031 linear protection, MRP (IEC 62439-2) and Lantronix Rapid Ring with recovery in under 20 ms. IEEE 1588 v2 PTP distributes precise time to cameras and controllers. Layer 2 features include up to 4K VLANs, Q-in-Q, 256-entry ACLs, IEEE 802.1X, LACP with up to 6 groups, eight QoS queues and IPv4/IPv6 static routing. PoE management adds Auto Power Reset (APR), per-port DHCP, PoE scheduling and Always on PoE.

Management is by web GUI, CLI, Telnet or SNMP v1/v2c/v3. The built-in DMS web manager draws a network topology, floor map and device map of every IP device it finds. The switches are integrated with Lantronix Percepxion for cloud lifecycle management, analytics and enterprise integration.

Key capabilities

30W on every port
The 384 model has a 240W PoE budget for 8 PoE+ ports and the 362 has 120W for 4, so every port can draw 30W at once.
-40 to +75 C fanless
Fanless, IP30 housing rated -40 to +75 C operating, 5% to 95% non-condensing humidity and altitudes to 10,000 ft for outdoor and plant-floor cabinets.
Sub-20 ms ring recovery
G.8032 ERPS, G.8031 EPS, MRP and Rapid Ring with recovery under 20 ms keep camera and control rings running through a fiber or cable break.
IEEE 1588 v2 PTP
Precision Time Protocol support delivers accurate time synchronization to IP cameras, sensors and controllers across the switched network.
PoE control features
Auto Power Reset (APR), PoE scheduling, Always on PoE and per-port DHCP give fine control over powered devices, with 802.3af and 802.3at compliance.
Topology and floor maps
The DMS web manager, local or through Percepxion, builds topology, floor map and device map views with traffic monitoring and diagnostics.

How to choose the right SISPM1040-300 Series part number

Pick by port count and PoE budget. SISPM1040-384-LRT-C has eight 10/100/1000Base-T PoE+ ports and four 100/1000Base-X SFP slots, a 240W PoE budget, 24 Gbps backplane and 44-57 VDC dual terminal-block input. SISPM1040-362-LRT has four PoE+ ports, two non-PoE Gigabit RJ45 ports and two SFP slots, a 120W budget, 16 Gbps backplane and 48-57 VDC redundant inputs. Both include a DIN-rail bracket; WMBH-01 adds wall mounting, and 25104 (240W) or 25160 (480W) DIN-rail supplies provide 48-55 VDC from AC mains.
