About the Lantronix SISPM1040-384-LRT-C
The SISPM1040-384-LRT-C (also written SISPM1040-384 or SISPM1040384LRTC) connects and powers devices where commercial switches fail: traffic cabinets, outdoor enclosures and factory floors. It supplies a full 30 W on all eight PoE+ ports simultaneously from a 240 W budget, so every port can drive a PTZ camera or wireless radio without power planning. Four 100/1000Base-X SFP slots carry uplinks or ring connections over fiber.
The switch runs from -40 to +75 C in an IP30 housing 62 mm wide, on dual 44 to 57 VDC terminal-block inputs. Rings recover through G.8032 ERPS, G.8031 linear protection, MRP or Lantronix Rapid Ring in under 20 ms. Layer 2 features include 4K VLANs, Q-in-Q, LACP, 256-entry ACLs, 802.1X, IEEE 1588 v2 PTP and 9.6 KB jumbo frames on 24 Gbps store-and-forward switching. Certifications include NEMA TS-2 and UL Class 1 Div 2.
Embedded Device Management System (DMS) software adds topology, floor and map views of connected IP devices, plus traffic monitoring and network diagnostics, giving security integrators one place to manage the PoE+ network. PoE tools include Auto Power Reset, per-port DHCP, PoE scheduling and Always on PoE. Management is via web, CLI, Telnet or SNMP v1/v2c/v3, with an API documented in the series guides.

- Sub-20 ms ring recovery
- Rapid Ring recovers in under 20 ms, and the switch also supports ITU-T G.8032 ERPS, G.8031 EPS and IEC 62439-2 MRP.
- -40 to +75 C operation
- The IP30 unit operates from -40 to +75 C and carries NEMA TS-2 and UL Class 1 Div 2 listings for traffic cabinets and hazardous locations.
- Auto Power Reset for cameras
- Auto Power Reset power-cycles a powered device that stops responding, and PoE scheduling switches port power on and off by time.
- Built-in device management
- DMS software maps every IP device on the switch in topology, floor and map views and supports network diagnostics from the switch itself.
- Precision time and OAM
- IEEE 1588 v2 PTP, 802.1ag and Y.1731 support timing-sensitive and carrier-style Ethernet deployments on a Layer 2 platform.
