About the Lantronix SM4T4DPA
The SM4T4DPA (also written SM-4T4DPA) fits sites that need a managed switch but only a handful of ports, with as much fiber as copper. Its four 100/1000Base-X SFP slots accept Fast Ethernet or Gigabit optics for uplinks, rings or links to remote buildings, while four 10/100/1000 RJ-45 ports connect local devices. An internal 100-240 VAC supply means no external power brick.
Switching runs at 16 Gbps with an 8K MAC table and 9K jumbo frames. Layer 2 features include 4096 VLANs with 802.1Q, Q-in-Q, MAC-based, private and guest VLANs, LACP, MSTP, RSTP and a redundant ring protection protocol, IGMP snooping and proxy, 8 QoS queues and ingress and egress bandwidth allocation. Security covers RADIUS 802.1X, TACACS+, SSH/SSL, DHCP snooping with option 82, IP-MAC binding and ACLs.
Management is via web GUI, CLI, Telnet and SNMP v1/v2c/v3, with an RJ-45 console port, IPv4/IPv6 dual stack and single IP management. Firmware updates and configuration backup and restore run through the web GUI or TFTP, and SYSLOG and LLDP support monitoring. The switch operates from 0 to 40 C and weighs 1.75 kg.
