This configuration has 4 RJ45 RS-232 serial device ports running at 300 to 921600 bps, plus a dedicated RJ45 console port and a USB Type A host port on the front panel.
What happens when the site's primary network goes down?▾
The EMG 7500 automatically fails over to its internal 4G/LTE cellular radio so you can still reach connected equipment, then fails back when the primary connection recovers.
What SIM does the gateway use?▾
The LTE radio uses a microSIM slot on the back panel. Lantronix states all global carriers are supported, with Private APN, VPN access and public or private IP addressing.
How is the EMG 7500 powered?▾
It ships with a desktop power supply and can also run from an external 9-30 VDC source. Power usage is 20 W.
Can I manage many EMG gateways centrally?▾
Yes. The EMG 7500 is compatible with Lantronix Percepxion for Networking, which offers centralized monitoring, zero-touch provisioning, real-time notifications and iOS and Android app access.
