About the Lantronix EMG 7500
The EMG 7500 (also written EMG7500) keeps routers, firewalls and switches reachable when the primary network fails. Lantronix positions it as the smaller sibling of the EMG 8500 for sites where space and cost matter most: retail, branch offices and unmanned locations. It comes in a fixed configuration with internal flash and an integrated LTE cellular interface, so out-of-band access does not depend on a separate modem.
Two 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet ports provide in-band access, and the internal LTE radio with a microSIM slot handles automatic failover and failback, with support for private APN, VPN and public or private IP addressing. Device ports are RS-232 on RJ-45 with software-reversible pinouts at 300 to 921600 bps, or USB Type A, in 4- or 8-port configurations. Each port buffers 256 KB and logs to local files, syslog, USB, microSD or NFS.
Security includes TLS 1.0 to 1.3, FIPS 140-2 compliant cryptography (certificate 2398), LDAP/AD, RADIUS, Kerberos and TACACS+ authentication, per-port permissions and a packet filter firewall. The gateway runs Python scripts, exposes secure REST APIs, generates Cisco-compatible IP SLA traffic and is managed centrally through Percepxion for Networking with zero-touch provisioning.

How to choose the right EMG 7500 part number
All three gateways include LTE and two Gigabit Ethernet ports; they differ in device ports. EMG751001S has 4 RS-232 RJ-45 serial ports. EMG751101S has 8 RS-232 serial ports. EMG751201S has 4 RS-232 serial ports plus 4 USB ports, for equipment with USB consoles. For racks, EMG-75SURM-KIT mounts one unit and EMG-75DJRM-KIT joins two side by side. ACC-520-0164-00 is a 12 V, 100 W desktop power supply, and ACC-500-103 is a 6-foot RJ-45 to DB9 female adapter for DTE console ports.
