Lantronix J/RS-232 Series RS-232 to SC Media Converter | J/RS232-TF-01-NA

The Lantronix J/RS232-TF-01(SC)-NA is a stand-alone J/RS232 Series media converter for RS-232 copper to fiber. This SKU connects a DB-9 (male) RS-232 interface to 1,300 nm multimode SC fiber for distances up to 2 km. The J/RS232 Series links a remote terminal to a host computer and supports point-to-point configurations where distances are greater than the 15 meter limitation of conventional copper serial cables. Lantronix lists example devices such as security scanners, POS devices, remote terminals and building access/alarming systems. The series supports full/half-duplex transmission at speeds up to 120 Kbps. Unit and Port LEDs provide quick status information, including power, receive/link activity and fiber link status.
