Lantronix M/E-TX-FX-01(SC) is an M/E-TX Series Mini Fast Ethernet Media Converter for 100Base-TX to 100Base-FX conversion. This SKU connects 100Base-TX (RJ-45) [100m/328 ft.] to 100Base-FX 1300nm multimode (SC) [2km/1.2mi.] with an 11.0db link budget. The M/E-TX Series is designed for fiber integration in copper-rich Fast Ethernet environments and can be used in pairs or as a single unit. Fiber supports Fast Ethernet transmission over much longer distances than possible twisted pair. Its Low-Latency Layer 1 Design retransmits Fast Ethernet signals without the store-and-forward packet inspection delays found in other Layer 2 devices. The mini size is intended for conversion locations where available space is limited, and unit and port LEDs provide quick status information.
