Lantronix N-GXE-POE-xx-01 Series PCIe Gigabit Fiber PoE+ NIC

The Lantronix N-GXE-POE-LC-01 is a Fiber Gigabit Ethernet PCIe Network Interface Card in the N-GXE-POE-xx-01 Series. It provides connectivity to a secure fiber network while also delivering power to a PoE powered device through a copper UTP interface. This 2-port NIC combines a fixed 1000Base-SX 850nm multimode LC fiber port with a switched 10/100/1000Base-T PoE+ port. The LC interface supports 550 m/1804 ft. over 50/125 um fiber and 220 m/722 ft. over 62.5/125 um fiber. The NIC is designed to allow a PC to power a VoIP phone, or another traditional copper powered device, over a secure fiber network. It can also provide traffic switching functions between the copper and fiber ports, even when the PC is in sleep mode. When VoIP traffic is filtered and prioritized by third-party devices like an Ethernet switch and the IP phone, this PoE NIC passes tagged traffic. VLANs and Prioritization can also be configured at the NIC via Lantronix’ PoE NIC utility software.
