Lantronix S4110-4848 is a stand-alone fiber to fiber media converter with two open SFP+ slots. It supports protocol-independent data rates from 1 Gbps to 11.5 Gbps and operates as an any-rate to same-rate converter. The S4110-4848 allows network managers to customize the converter with a pair of SFP+ modules to meet network requirements. Supported transmission distance is based on the SFP modules and fiber type used. It can be used for single mode to multimode conversion, wavelength conversion in CWDM applications, and fiber to fiber repeating. It supports 3R signal regeneration and has no frame size limitations.
