Key Features

  • 3 10/100Base-TX RJ-45 ports for critical, primary and backup paths

  • Automatic switchback when the primary path re-establishes its link
  • Dip switch selectable fault-tolerant mode or 3-port switch mode
  • Auto-MDI/MDIX and Auto-Negotiation
  • 9 diagnostic LEDs for power, primary, backup and port status
  • IEEE 802.3 compliance with half and full-duplex transmission support
The Lantronix SBFTF1010-130 Redundant Link Protector is a 10/100 Ethernet fault-tolerant transceiver for redundant 10/100 Ethernet connections. It provides three ports: one for the critical main device, one for the default primary path and one for the backup path. The unit does not send a signal on an inactive path. If the primary path loses its link, it switches to the backup path in approximately 189 milliseconds, then automatically switches back when the primary path re-establishes its link. A dip switch allows the SBFTF1010-130 to move from fault-tolerant mode to 3-port switch mode. The design includes Auto-MDI/MDIX, Auto-Negotiation, half and full-duplex transmission support and 9 diagnostic LEDs.

Ideal For

  • Redundant path protection for critical 10/100 devices
  • Fault-tolerant 10/100 Ethernet connections with primary and backup paths
  • Stand-alone 10/100Base-TX link protection using RJ-45 cabling
  • Installations that need dip switch selection between redundancy mode and 3-port switch mode
