Lantronix XPort Direct+ is an embedded device server module that delivers Ethernet connectivity and web server capabilities for devices with a serial interface on their microcontroller. XPD1001000-01 is the bulk version with RoHS Certificate of Compliance. XPort Direct+ acts as a dedicated co-processor module for network activities. Serial data from the device microcontroller’s CMOS logic-level serial port is packetized and delivered over an Ethernet network via TCP or UDP data packets. The module includes a 10/100 MAC/PHY, 256KB SRAM, 512KB Flash, an RJ45 jack with magnetics, and 256-bit AES encryption for secure communications. The built-in web server supports remote configuration, real-time monitoring, upgrades and troubleshooting through a standard Internet browser. DeviceInstaller, the Windows-based configuration software, supports configuring one or more XPort Direct+ modules in a subnet.
