Lantronix XPort Direct+ XPDNC2000-01 is an embedded device server module for adding Ethernet connectivity and web server capabilities to devices with a serial interface on their microcontroller. This SKU is the RoHS version without an RJ45 connector. XPort Direct+ acts as a dedicated co-processor module for network activities. Serial data from the device microcontroller’s CMOS logic-level serial port is packetized and delivered over an Ethernet network via TCP or UDP data packets, while incoming TCP or UDP packets are presented back over the serial interface. The module includes a built-in web server for communications with a device via a standard Internet browser. Web capability can be used for remote configuration, real-time monitoring, upgrades and troubleshooting. XPort Direct+ also includes a full-featured network protocol stack, 256KB SRAM, 512KB Flash, and 256-bit AES Rijndael encryption.
