About the Lantronix SISTP1040-382B-LRT
The SISTP1040-382B-LRT (sometimes written SISTP1040-382B) is an eight-port Gigabit PoE+ switch built for sites where only a 12 V or 24 V DC system is available, such as battery and solar installations, vehicles and low-voltage control cabinets. It accepts 12-24 VDC on redundant inputs with reverse power protection and still delivers IEEE 802.3af/at PoE+ on its eight Gigabit copper ports, so cameras and radios can draw power from the same DC system.
The PoE budget depends on the input voltage. At 24 VDC the switch provides 120 W total: 30 W on four ports or 15 W on all eight. At 12 VDC the budget is 60 W: 30 W on two ports or 15 W on four. Two 100/1000Base-X SFP slots provide fiber uplinks. Switching is store-and-forward at Layer 2 wire speed, with a 4K MAC table, 9K jumbo frames, 802.1p and 802.3az Energy Efficient Ethernet.
The fanless IP30 metal housing measures 44 x 130 x 135 mm, weighs 0.46 kg and operates from -40°C to +70°C. A DIN-rail bracket is included, with wall mounting as an option. It is UL listed, and Lantronix lists it as designed to meet Class 1 Div 2.
