About the Lantronix XPort Pro Lx6
The XPort Pro Lx6 (also written XPort Pro LX6 or XPortPro, with XPP part numbers) lets product designers add wired networking without designing it from scratch. It is footprint compatible with the original Lantronix XPort, so existing XPort board designs can move to it, and it adds IPv6 Ready certified dual-stack networking. Because it runs Linux, developers can deploy their own applications on the module itself using available feature libraries. Lantronix lists it as In Production-NRFND: in production, but not recommended for new designs.
A 32-bit processor runs with 16MB of SDRAM and 16MB of flash. The serial interface runs at software-selectable rates from 300 bps to 921 kbps with CTS, RTS and DTR/DCD signals, plus three programmable I/O pins. The integrated RJ45 provides 10Base-T and 100Base-TX, and FIPS-197 compliant 256-bit AES secures TCP and UDP sessions. The module runs on 3.3 VDC from -40 to +85 C and measures 33.9 x 16.25 x 13.5 mm.
Management uses the internal web manager, CLI over serial or Telnet, XML configuration records via CLI or FTP, and the Windows-based DeviceInstaller utility, with firmware upgrades over FTP, web or serial. Com Port Redirector lets Windows applications reach the serial device as a virtual COM port, and web content lives on a local file system updatable through FTP.

Two module part numbers and one development board are listed. XPP1004000-02R is the RoHS, extended-temperature, IPv6 module with 16MB SDRAM, packed in bulk with a 50-unit minimum for production. XPP100400S-02R is the same module as a sample for prototyping and evaluation. XP10010NMK-01 is the XPort Universal Demo Board for development and testing; the module is not included, so order it together with a sample module.
