The Lantronix C2220-1040 is a C2220 Series managed Network Interface Device (NID) module for converting 10/100/1000Base-T (RJ-45) [100 m] copper links to a 100Base-X SFP Slot (empty). It is part of the ION media conversion platform and is built for remotely managed Ethernet links. The C2220 can be managed individually via an IP address or by the ION Management Module when installed in a managed ION chassis. It supports IEEE 802.3ah Link OAM, VLAN, QoS, SSH/SSL, jumbo frame support, and bandwidth allocation. Lantronix positions the C2220 Series for business and mobile backhaul applications where users need managed Ethernet services across copper and fiber environments.
