The Lantronix E-100BTX-FX-06(SC) is a stand-alone Fast Ethernet media converter for connecting 100Base-TX copper ports to 100Base-FX 1300nm multimode fiber with an SC connector. It allows users to integrate fiber optic cabling into 100Base-TX copper environments. The listed reach is 100 m/328 ft. on RJ-45 copper and 2 km/1.2 mi. on multimode fiber, with an 11.0 dB link budget. The E-100BTX Series operates at Layer 1, the physical layer, and passes data through the converter at line speed for low latency applications. Series features include auto-negotiation, Auto-MDI/MDIX, active link pass through, Far-End-Fault (FEF), Pause and automatic link restoration.
