The Lantronix EDS5016 is an EDS5000 Series Ethernet to serial device server with 16 total serial device management ports. Its port mix includes (4) RS-232/422/485 software selectable ports, (12) RS232 only RJ-45 serial ports and (1) RJ-45 console port. The EDS5000 Series provides remote access and management for serial-based equipment over Ethernet. EDS5016 connects through (1) combo 10/100/1000 Mbps copper or 100/1000 Mbps SFP Ethernet port and supports serial data rates from 2400 to 921.6K Baud. Security and management features include SSL 3, TLS 1.2, TLS 1.3, SSH, AES128, AES256, password protection, IP address filtering and data traffic encryption. Percepxion™ provides a secure cloud and on-premise platform for remote device management, with firmware upgrades through Web Manager, Lantronix Provisioning Manager or Percepxion. The unit supports AC input, DC input or both, and fits 1RU rack mount or desktop installations.
