The Lantronix J/RS232-CF-01(SC) is a stand-alone RS232 copper to fiber media converter for linking a remote terminal to a host computer over fiber optic cable. This SKU connects DB-9 (female) [15 m/49 ft.] to 1300nm multimode (SC) [2 km/1.2 mi.] with an 11.0 dB link budget. It supports full or half-duplex data transmission at speeds up to 120 Kbps. Unit and port LEDs provide quick status information, including power, Rx link or data, and fiber link status. The J/RS232 Series is used in campus or business environments where point-to-point remote devices need distances greater than the 15 meter limitation of conventional copper serial cables.
