Lantronix J/RS232 Series J/RS232-TF-01 RS-232 to Fiber Media Converter

Lantronix J/RS232-TF-01(SC) is a stand-alone RS232 copper-to-fiber media converter in the J/RS232 Series. This configuration connects DB-9 (male) [15 m/49 ft.] to 1300nm multimode (SC) fiber [2 km/1.2 mi.] with an 11.0 dB link budget. The J/RS232 Series links a remote terminal to a host computer and connects devices such as security scanners, POS devices, remote terminals and building access/alarming systems. It is intended for campus or business environments where remote devices can be networked in a point-to-point configuration beyond the 15 meter limitation of conventional copper serial cables. The converter supports full or half-duplex data transmission at speeds up to 120 Kbps. Unit and port LEDs provide status information, including power, RX link or data activity, and fiber link.
