Lantronix M/GE-ISW-SFP-01-UTX is a hardened mini M/GE-UxX Series unidirectional media converter. It converts a 10/100/1000Base-T RJ-45 copper connection to a unidirectional 100/1000Base-X open SFP slot transmitting connection. Unidirectional media converters create a physically secure one-way communication channel over fiber between a secure network and an unsecure network. They are used where information must be directed only to, or from, the appropriate network. This transmitting converter uses the TX port on a duplex SFP while the RX port is deactivated. Applications require it to be paired with a receive-only converter, and simplex communications require one strand of fiber cable.
