The Lantronix S6010-1040 is a stand-alone managed media converter in the S6010 Series. This SKU converts twisted pair RJ-48 rated at 1.5 km/0.9 mi. to an empty SFP slot for DS1 – T1/E1 over fiber applications. The S6010 Series extends DS1 – T1/E1 or PRI connections over fiber optic cabling through a twisted pair RJ-48 port and a fiber port. These converters must be used in pairs, one on each end of the fiber link. Remote in-band management is supported over the fiber when the remote S6010 is linked to a C6010 card installed in a managed ION Chassis. The series also supports local or remote loopbacks, remote firmware upgrade, LEDs for immediate visual status, and SNMP management when used with an ION chassis and management module.
