The M/E-PSW Series are mini Fast Ethernet media converters that link 10/100Base-TX copper to 100Base-FX fiber, accepting both 10 and 100 Mbps devices on the copper side, with multimode reach to 2 km and single-mode to 20 km.

About the Lantronix M/E-PSW Series
The M/E-PSW Series (also written ME-PSW) moves Fast Ethernet traffic onto fiber from a 46 x 85 x 22 mm housing. Its copper port auto-negotiates 10 or 100 Mbps, so older 10 Mbps equipment can share a 100Base-FX fiber link with newer devices. Lantronix highlights two consequences of that design: it connects legacy network equipment and it eliminates collision domains between the copper and fiber segments.
Fiber options are 1300 nm multimode to 2 km with an 11.0 dB link budget, on ST (M/E-PSW-FX-02) or SC (M/E-PSW-FX-02(SC)) connectors, and 1310 nm single-mode SC to 20 km with a 16.0 dB budget (M/E-PSW-FX-02(SM)). The fiber port runs fixed full-duplex, the copper port supports auto-negotiation and Auto-MDI/MDIX, and Far-End-Fault plus Automatic Link Restoration help detect and recover from fiber failures. Maximum frame size is 1632 bytes.
Power comes from an external 12 VDC, 0.5 A supply into a 7.5 to 13.9 VDC input, with 2.6 W consumption. Operating range is 0°C to 50°C. Units mount with the WMBM wall, DRBM DIN-rail or RMBM rack brackets, or slide into the 18-slot M-MCR-01 chassis.

- Up to 18 units fit the M-MCR-01 powered chassis with 19-inch rack ears for central-office or closet density.

All three models convert 10/100Base-TX copper to 100Base-FX fiber; the suffix sets fiber type and connector. M/E-PSW-FX-02 is 1300 nm multimode with ST connectors, M/E-PSW-FX-02(SC) is the same optic with SC connectors, both reaching 2 km with an 11.0 dB budget.
