About the Lantronix M/GE-ISW Series
The M/GE-ISW Series (also written MGE-ISW) brings copper-to-fiber Gigabit conversion into places where commercial converters are not rated to run: control cabinets, factory panels and enclosures that swing from freezing to hot. The housing measures just 46 x 85 x 22 mm and weighs 0.18 kg, so it fits tight DIN-rail spaces, yet it operates from -40°C to +75°C.
Power enters through a 2-pin terminal block that accepts 12-48 VDC or 24-36 VAC, so the converter can share a cabinet's existing control power. Overload current protection and reverse polarity protection guard against wiring mistakes, and a barrel connector pigtail is included. Consumption is only 1.2 W. Fiber options are 1000Base-SX multimode on SC or LC to 550 m, 1000Base-LX single-mode SC to 10 km, or an open 100/1000Base-X SFP slot.
Each unit includes a DIN-rail clip and Velcro, with the WMBM wall bracket and RMBM rack bracket available separately. Link behavior is designed for unattended sites: auto-negotiation and Auto-MDI/MDIX on the copper port, fixed full-duplex on fiber, Active Link Pass Through to signal a fiber fault to the attached device, and support for jumbo frames up to 10,240 bytes.

M/GE-ISW-LX-01 is 1000Base-LX single-mode SC to 10 km, 10.5 dB. M/GE-ISW-SFP-01 has an open 100/1000Base-X SFP slot. If the cabinet lacks suitable power, add the SPS-UA12DHT 12 VDC adapter or the 25165 industrial DIN-rail supply.
