About the Lantronix SISTG1040-282-LRT
Not every edge location needs a managed switch. The SISTG1040-282-LRT (sometimes searched as SISTG1040 282) is a plug-in Layer 2 switch for the edge of a hardened network: eight 10/100/1000Base-T RJ45 ports for cameras, controllers and sensors, and two 100/1000Base-X SFP slots for fiber uplinks. The two SFP ports can also daisy-chain switches together along a line of cabinets. With nothing to configure, it suits harsh-environment sites that need Gigabit connectivity without the overhead of switch management.
Switching is store-and-forward at wire speed, with 20 Gbps switching capacity, a 4K MAC table and jumbo frames up to 9K bytes. IEEE 802.3az Energy Efficient Ethernet trims power on idle links, and total draw is 5.8 W. Power input accepts +12 to +48 VDC or -12 to -48 VDC on redundant inputs with reverse polarity protection. The fanless IP30 metal housing is 44 mm wide and 0.39 kg, operates from -40 to +75 C at 5% to 95% humidity, and carries UL Class 1/Div 2, CE, FCC Part 15 and IEC/EN 62368-1.
