The Lantronix C3210 Series is an ION Gigabit Ethernet media and rate converter module for 10/100/1000Base-T to 1000Base-SX/LX environments. C3210-1040 is the version with 10/100/1000Base-T (RJ-45) [100 m] to a 1000Base-X SFP Slot (empty). Operating at Layer 2, the C3210 converts copper to fiber and provides rate conversion for legacy 10/100 copper devices connecting to 1000Base-SX/LX fiber. The module is manageable when installed in a managed ION chassis. C3210 Series features include Copper and Fiber Auto-Negotiation, Auto-MDI/MDIX, Link Pass Through, Remote Fault Detect, IEEE 802.1p QoS and IEEE 802.1Q Port VLAN support.
