The Lantronix EDS-MD EDSOR04P-01 is the 4-port medical device server in the EDS-MD series. Lantronix describes EDS-MD as a wired IoT gateway for mission critical medical devices and equipment connectivity. EDS-MD connects serial medical devices to the network with RS-232 serial connectivity and a Gigabit Ethernet network interface. UL and IEC-60601 compliance provides galvanic port isolation to protect connected medical devices. Management options include Percepxion™, Web Browser, CLI and XML Configuration Records. Secure Com Port Redirector™ virtualization software lets existing serial port applications work with EDS-MD without code modifications by mapping virtual COM ports and encrypting both ends of communication.
