The Lantronix EMG 8500 Edge Management Gateway is built for branch offices, remote locations and retail stores where an offsite network device gateway is needed and space is limited. This EMG851000S configuration includes 4 RJ45 RS-232 serial ports, 1 USB 2.0 port, 2 GbE RJ45 Ethernet ports and single AC power. EMG 8500 provides Lights Out Management for remote access to connected infrastructure. Administrators can connect, monitor, manage and repair servers by remote control, reducing the need for onsite personnel and helping minimize downtime. Device ports can be accessed via Telnet/SSH or a web browser-based console client without proprietary software. Percepxion for Networking provides centralized management and automated monitoring for deployed Lantronix edge management gateways and connected IT equipment.
