Lantronix EMG8500 Edge Management Gateway 8-Port RS-232 Serial

Lantronix EMG 8500 is an Edge Management Gateway for branch offices, remote locations, retail stores or anywhere an offsite network device gateway is needed and space is limited. The EMG851100S configuration provides RS-232 serial 8-port access with RJ45 serial ports in a 2 x 4 port FRU configuration. The EMG 8500 enables Lights Out Management, allowing a system administrator to connect, monitor, manage and repair servers by remote control. Its modular design supports placement alongside critical infrastructure in data centers, branch offices and remote sites. Administrators can access EMG device ports via Telnet/SSH or a web browser-based console client without proprietary software. Security features include packet filtering, per port user permissions, remote authentication options and NIST-certified AES encryption.
