Lantronix ION219-A is a 19-slot chassis for the ION Platform with one AC power supply. It supports high-density deployments of ION slide-in modules for fiber integration in carrier class and enterprise network applications. To take full advantage of the features and functions available with the ION Chassis, an ION Management Module is required. The management module connects to the chassis backplane and communicates with the individual cards in the chassis. Only management traffic, no end-user data traffic, is sent across the ION Chassis backplane. A network administrator can configure, monitor and troubleshoot ION slide-in modules remotely through the ION Management Module.

Ideal For

  • High-density ION Platform deployments using multiple slide-in modules
  • Carrier class and enterprise networks with multiple points of fiber integration
  • Remote configuration, monitoring and troubleshooting of ION slide-in modules through an ION Management Module
  • Chassis installations that need optional second power supply redundancy
