About the Lantronix SM24TAT2SA
The SM24TAT2SA, the 24-port member of the Lantronix SMTATSA series, is a Layer 2 smart managed switch that powers and connects up to 24 PoE+ devices from one 1.73-inch-high rack unit. Each 10/100/1000Base-T port supports IEEE 802.3at PoE+ and 802.3af PoE, and two 100/1000 dual-speed SFP slots provide fiber uplinks. A built-in Device Management System helps integrators establish and document a baseline deployment, then discover and remotely configure attached powered devices.
The internal 100-240 VAC supply provides a 370 W PoE budget: 30 W on 12 ports simultaneously or 15.4 W on all 24. Switching capacity is 52 Gbps with store-and-forward architecture and an 8k MAC table. Ports have 6 kV surge protection, and the switch operates from 0°C to +50°C. Auto Power Reset restarts unresponsive powered devices, and Always on PoE is supported.
Software features include RADIUS and TACACS+ authentication, DHCP snooping and server, L2/L3/L4 ACLs, IP Source Guard, IGMP and MLD snooping, MVR, 8 QoS queues with ingress policing and egress shaping, MSTP/RSTP, LACP and up to 4k VLANs with QinQ. Management is via web, CLI, Telnet and SNMP v1/v2c/v3.
