The Lantronix ION106-A is a 6-slot ION Chassis with one AC power supply. It is part of the ION Platform for integrating copper and fiber equipment with network infrastructure. The ION Platform accommodates a variety of modules and interface devices supporting multiple protocols and networking environments, including Ethernet and TDM networks. It is designed for service providers, data centers, and core network applications. To take full advantage of all chassis features and functions, an ION Management Module is required. The management module connects to the chassis backplane and lets a network administrator configure, monitor and troubleshoot ION slide-in modules remotely.
