Lantronix SPOEB Series PoE Media Converter

The Lantronix SPOEB Series is a stand-alone Fast Ethernet PoE media converter for 10/100Base-TX PoE PSE to 100Base-FX links. This SPOEB1011-105 model connects 10/100Base-TX PoE over RJ-45 to 100Base-FX 1300nm multimode fiber using an ST connector. Lantronix AC powered PoE media converters combine data received over a fiber optic link with -48 VDC power. They provide power to Data Terminal Equipment Power Devices over unshielded twisted pair cable. The converter is Power Sourcing Equipment and is fully compatible with Powered Devices that comply with the IEEE 802.3af standard. It includes PD signature sensing, power monitoring, Over-Current Protection, Under-Current Detection and Fault Protection Input. Switch selectable settings support Auto-Negotiation, forced port capabilities, Link Pass Through and PSE control. With the PSE/LPT switch enabled, a loss of Fiber RX disables PSE power output on the UTP port for 2 seconds to allow the remote device to re-initialize.
