The Lantronix SPOEB1039-105 is a stand-alone Fast Ethernet PoE media converter for 10/100Base-TX PoE copper to 100Base-FX fiber conversion. This model uses an RJ-45 copper port and 1300nm multimode LC fiber with a listed 2 km/1.2 mi. fiber reach and 11.0 dB link budget. The SPOEB Series enables enterprises to provide power to network devices over the existing CAT5 data connection. Lantronix AC powered PoE media converters combine data received over a fiber optic link with -48 VDC power to provide power to DTE Power Devices over unshielded twisted pair cable. The converter is Power Sourcing Equipment and is fully compatible with Powered Devices that comply with the IEEE 802.3af standard. It includes PD signature sensing, power monitoring, Over-Current Protection, Under-Current Detection, Fault Protection Input, switch selectable port settings, Link Pass Through, Far-End-Fault, and Automatic Link Restoration.

Ideal For

  • Extending a 10/100Base-TX PoE connection over 100Base-FX multimode LC fiber
  • Providing IEEE 802.3af power to a compliant Powered Device over an existing CAT5 data connection
  • Connecting copper PoE devices to fiber optic links in enterprise networks
  • Using Powered Device Reset to re-initialize a remote device after loss of Fiber RX

Why This Product

  • 1LC fiber connector version of the SPOEB Series fixed 100Base-FX multimode models
  • 2Uses 100Base-FX 1300nm multimode fiber with a 2 km/1.2 mi. reach and 11.0 dB link budget
