The Lantronix C2110-1019 is an ION Fast Ethernet Media Converter Module for 100Base-TX to 100Base-FX conversion. This configuration connects 100Base-TX (RJ-45) [100 m/328 ft.] to 100Base-FX 1310nm single mode (LC) [20 km/12.4 mi.] with a 17.3 dB link budget. Operating at Layer 1, the C2110 Series passes 100 Mbps data through the converter. It includes Auto-Negotiation of speed and duplex on the TP port, Auto-MDI/MDIX, Link Pass Through (LPT), Far-End-Fault (FEF) detection, Automatic Link Restoration and Pause advertisement. Manageable Features are available when used in an ION Platform chassis along with an ION Management Module. The module can report TP and Fiber Link Status, hardware switch settings, copper port speed, TP and Fiber Port Duplex and fault condition to chassis management software.
