The Lantronix ION C2210 is a Fast Ethernet media and rate converter module for connecting 10/100Base-TX copper ports to 100Base-FX fiber ports. This C2210-1039 configuration supports 1300nm multimode fiber over LC with a 2 km/1.2 mi. fiber distance and an 11.0 dB link budget. Operating at Layer 2, the ION C2210 converts copper to fiber and provides rate conversion, allowing legacy 10Base-T copper devices to connect to 100Base-FX fiber. The module supports Auto-Negotiation of speed and duplex on the TP port, Auto-MDI/MDIX, Link Pass Through, Far-End-Fault detection, Automatic Link Restoration and Field Upgradeable Firmware. Manageable Features are available when used in an ION Platform chassis along with an ION Management Module.
