Overview
About the Lantronix SI-IES-5200-LRT
The SI-IES-5200-LRT (also searched as SI-IES-5200) solves a specific gap: high-power, high-bandwidth devices such as Wi-Fi access points, multi-lens surveillance cameras and license plate readers installed where no PoE-capable switch or nearby power source exists. It sits inline on the cable, takes data in on one RJ-45 port and sends data plus up to 90 W of IEEE 802.3bt PoE++ out the other, and remains backward compatible with 802.3af and 802.3at devices.
Both ports run 10M, 100M, 1G, 2.5G, 5G or 10GBase-T with a non-blocking architecture, so the injector does not cap a multi-gig access point. Power enters on a 4-pin terminal block at 54-56 VDC with redundant inputs, reverse polarity protection and overload current protection. It draws 4 W without a load and 101.4 W at full PoE. The 32 mm-wide IP31 housing mounts on DIN rail, with wall-mount brackets included.
It is built for manufacturing floors and curbside traffic control cabinets, where electromagnetic interference and heavy electrical surges are common. Protection includes 2 kV surge immunity on both power and signal lines, IEC 61000-4 ESD, EFT and surge testing, shock, vibration and free-fall testing to EN 60068-2, and an operating range of -40°C to +75°C.
Key capabilities
- 90 W PoE++ output
- IEEE 802.3bt output up to 90 W powers multi-lens cameras, high-end access points and license plate readers from a single cable.
- Multi-gig up to 10G
- Data passes at 10M through 10GBase-T, including 2.5G and 5G under IEEE 802.3bz, with a non-blocking architecture.
- Rated -40°C to +75°C
- Certified for safe operation across -40°C to +75°C in an IP31 housing suited to street cabinets and plant-floor enclosures.
- Redundant DC input
- Dual 54-56 VDC inputs on a terminal block, with reverse polarity and overload current protection, keep the powered device running if one feed fails.
- Surge and EMI hardened
- 2 kV surge immunity on power and signal lines and IEC 61000-4 EMC testing address heavy electrical noise in industrial sites.
How to choose the right SI-IES-5200-LRT part number
SI-IES-5200-LRT is a single model with one data-in RJ-45 port and one PoE++ data-out RJ-45 port. The choices are in the power and enclosure accessories. The injector needs 54-56 VDC: the PS-DC-DUAL-5624T 345 W supply provides 56 VDC alongside 24 VDC, and the 25104 and 25105 are industrial DIN-rail supplies. For outdoor poles and roadside sites, the OCA-P181610 cabinet provides a vented enclosure with two DIN rails, terminal blocks and cable glands.

SI-IES-5200-LRT FAQ
How much power does the SI-IES-5200-LRT PoE++ injector deliver?
It delivers up to 90 W on its PoE++ port under IEEE 802.3bt and also supports 802.3af and 802.3at devices. At full PoE load the injector draws 101.4 W from its 56 VDC input.
Does the SI-IES-5200-LRT support 10 Gigabit Ethernet?
Yes. Both RJ-45 ports support 10M, 100M, 1G, 2.5G, 5G and 10GBase-T, with a non-blocking architecture, so the injector passes full multi-gig bandwidth to the powered device.
What power supply does the SI-IES-5200-LRT need?
It requires 54-56 VDC on a 4-pin terminal block with redundant inputs. Lantronix lists the PS-DC-DUAL-5624T, which has a 56 VDC output, and the 25104 and 25105 DIN-rail supplies as compatible accessories.
What is the operating temperature of the SI-IES-5200-LRT?
It operates from -40°C to +75°C and stores from -40°C to +85°C at 5% to 95% non-condensing humidity, in an IP31 housing that mounts on DIN rail or a wall.
