About the Lantronix SI-IES-5x1D-LRT Series
Outdoor Wi-Fi access points and high-power security cameras increasingly need both 2.5G bandwidth and more than 30 W of power, often at the end of a fiber run in a traffic cabinet or parking garage. The SI-IES-511D-LRT and SI-IES-521D-LRT (the SI-IES-5x1D-LRT family) solve that in one DIN-rail device: a fiber SFP+ uplink comes in, and one or two PoE++ copper ports go out to the powered devices, with no separate switch or injector required.
The SFP+ slot accepts 1G or 10G modules (1000Base-X or 10GBase-X), and each RJ-45 port runs at 10M, 100M, 1G or 2.5G under IEEE 802.3bz. PoE output follows 802.3af, at and bt, at up to 90 W per port: 90 W total on the 511D and 180 W on the 521D. The architecture is non-blocking store-and-forward with 10K-byte jumbo frames. DIP switches enable Remote PD Reset, which power-cycles an unresponsive device, and link fault pass-through.
Power input is 54-56 VDC on a 4-pin terminal block with redundant inputs, reverse-polarity and overload protection. The IP31 housing operates from -40 °C to +75 °C, carries MET certification to UL 121201 for Class 1 Division 2 hazardous locations, and ships with DIN-rail mounting and optional wall-mount brackets.

- Remote PD Reset
- A DIP switch enables Remote PD Reset to power-cycle a hung camera or access point, plus link fault pass-through for upstream alerting.
How to choose the right SI-IES-5x1D-LRT Series part number
The two models differ in PoE port count and total power. SI-IES-511D-LRT has one SFP+ slot and one 2.5G PoE++ port with a 90 W budget, for a single access point or camera. SI-IES-521D-LRT has one SFP+ slot and two 2.5G PoE++ ports, each delivering up to 90 W, for a 180 W total budget. Size the 54-56 VDC supply to the load: full PoE consumption is 220 W at 56 VDC. Lantronix lists the 25104 (240 W), 25105 (120 W) and PS-DC-DUAL-5624T (345 W) supplies as compatible.
