Lantronix M/GE-ISW-SFP-01-URX is a hardened Mini Gigabit Ethernet unidirectional media converter in the M/GE-UxX Series. It converts a 10/100/1000Base-T RJ45 connection to a unidirectional 100/1000Base-X open SFP slot and is the receiving converter version. Unidirectional communication is used to safeguard information in secure environments such as government agencies and military networks. A unidirectional device, sometimes referred to as a unidirectional security gateway or a data diode, directs information only to, or from, the appropriate network. The M/GE-UxX Series combines one-way communications with copper-to-fiber media conversion. Simplex communications requires one strand of fiber cable, and applications require a transmit-only converter to be paired with a receive-only converter. This ISW version is specified for 12 – 48 VDC or 24 – 36VAC input via 2-pin terminal block and an operating range of -40°C to 75°C.
