About the Lantronix xPico 270
The xPico 270 (also written xPico270; part numbers start with XPC270) is an embedded IoT gateway module for OEMs that need Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Ethernet in a connected product without writing wireless drivers. Built on a Cypress 802.11ac Wi-Fi module, it can run as a network co-processor that fully offloads communications from the host microcontroller, or as a wireless microcontroller using the provided SDK.
Wi-Fi covers 802.11a/b/g/n/ac on 2.4 and 5 GHz, with 802.11ac up to 433 Mbps on 20, 40 and 80 MHz channels and 802.11r fast roaming. Bluetooth 4.2 supports BR/EDR and Bluetooth LE in central and peripheral roles with GATT and SPP. Host interfaces are a TTL UART at 9600 bps to 4 Mbps, USB host, 12 GPIOs and 10/100 Ethernet over RMII. TruPort Serial passes serial and Fieldbus protocols over TCP, UDP or TLS, and a Modbus TCP to Modbus RTU/ASCII gateway is built in.
Concurrent Soft AP plus client mode allows direct service access while the device stays on the plant network. InfiniShield security provides secure boot, secure FOTA, encrypted configuration, role-based access control and WPA2 Enterprise, with WPA3 on firmware v5.0.0.0 or later. Devices are managed through Percepxion, REST, MQTT or the internal web server. The module runs from 3.3 VDC at -40°C to +85°C.

How to choose the right xPico 270 part number
The digit after XPC270 sets the form factor: 1 is the 17 x 25 mm LGA surface-mount module, 3 is the 22 x 35.5 mm edge-connector card. The last letter sets packaging. XPC270100B is LGA on a 250-piece tape and reel, XPC270100S is LGA on a 25-piece reel, XPC270300B is the edge card in trays and XPC270300S is a single edge card for sampling.
